Safety Framework

International Mountain Safety Protocols

Permits & Registered Route Plans

Official clearance through the Alpine Club of Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Department. GPS tracking and daily check-ins recorded at Askole and Concordia.

Altitude Sickness & HAPE/HACE Protocol

Gradual acclimatization itineraries with dedicated rest days. Immediate descent ordered if severe acute mountain sickness symptoms develop — safety always precedes summit goals.

Crevasse & Technical Glacier Safety

Fixed ropes, harness safety checks, and qualified mountain guides leading across glaciated zones, lateral moraines, and high-altitude passes such as Gondogoro La.

Uncompromised Weather Authority

Lead Sirdars and Head Guides hold absolute decision-making power to modify route schedules or hold at camp during severe weather without financial penalties to clients.

Emergency Helicopter Evacuation

Pre-established protocols with Askari Aviation and military search-and-rescue units for high-altitude heli-evacuation to Skardu or CMH Gilgit.

Official Incident Reporting

Every medical or logistical incident is formally logged in duplicate with senior leadership in Askole and Skardu for complete accountability.
