Altitude Sickness & HAPE/HACE Protocol
Gradual acclimatization itineraries with dedicated rest days. Immediate descent ordered if severe acute mountain sickness symptoms develop — safety always precedes summit goals.
Crevasse & Technical Glacier Safety
Fixed ropes, harness safety checks, and qualified mountain guides leading across glaciated zones, lateral moraines, and high-altitude passes such as Gondogoro La.
Uncompromised Weather Authority
Lead Sirdars and Head Guides hold absolute decision-making power to modify route schedules or hold at camp during severe weather without financial penalties to clients.
Emergency Helicopter Evacuation
Pre-established protocols with Askari Aviation and military search-and-rescue units for high-altitude heli-evacuation to Skardu or CMH Gilgit.
Official Incident Reporting
Every medical or logistical incident is formally logged in duplicate with senior leadership in Askole and Skardu for complete accountability.
